Financial FAQs
Initial Consultation is Free
There is no fee for the Initial Consultation. This is an opportunity to hear what you are looking for from counseling and to see if we are a good fit. If we are a good fit, we will discuss fees for services at this time.
Payment
Fees are payable at the time that services are rendered. Payment is accepted in the form of debit card or credit card. It is our goal to maximize your session time. Therefore, if you are paying for a session via a debit card, or credit card, please let us know ahead of time so we can collect and/or provide the necessary information.
Do you offer sliding scale fees or low cost therapy services?
Our Therapist, Tabitha Baldwin is also a provider for another practice called Headway, and she is paneled with several insurance providers through this company. You are welcome to ask for this option.
You can also find Tabitha on Headway at: Headway.co
A receipt, or “Superbill” for services is able to be provided so that you can seek to be reimbursed for services provided by your insurance provider.
Additionally, if you do not have insurance and are not able to afford rates as discussed during your free initial consultation we recommend https://openpathcollective.org to find a therapist that would be able to provide what you may be looking for.
Good Faith Estimate Notice
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
